COVID-19: Updated Operational Status
The following information updates our current operating status across all VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System locations:
Inside Buildings
- COVID screening questions upon entry no longer required – if you have COVID-19 symptoms, tell your healthcare provider immediately or do not enter.
- Face coverings (nose and mouth) are required of all personnel in patient care buildings, indoor public areas and Veteran-facing locations.
- Face coverings are required of all unvaccinated personnel in all indoor areas.
- COVID-19 unvaccinated personnel are encouraged to maintain 6 ft. of physical distancing indoors and outdoors.
- Minors must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
- Canteens at the WLA, Sepulveda, and Downtown LA campuses have seating available, but seating remains limited.
Hospital and Community Living Center Visitation
Visitation is allowed and all visitors must check-in at the nursing station:
- Visitors will be asked COVID screening questions
- Hospital visitation is limited to 2 visitors per patient from 10am-8pm.
- CLC visitation is limited to 2 visitors per resident from 8am-4pm.
- Visitors to the critical care unit and COVID wards is limited to 12 years and older.
Campus Activities
- Masks are not required outdoors.
- COVID-19 unvaccinated personnel are encouraged to maintain 6 ft. of physical distancing indoors and outdoors.
- No smoking/vaping allowed – all VA property is smoke-free.
